Our Stars Choir release their first single

Today, the first day of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2021, Our Stars Choir for bereaved parents affected by baby loss, are very proudly releasing their first music single and video with an original song called Little Light.

To say we are proud of this small choir, whose bravery following the sadness they have all faced is inspirational, is a huge understatement.

A year in the making, with lyrics by Our Sam Founder Philippa Davies, music and musical production by Hertfordshire based Music Producer Chris Hollis (New Noise Audio), and choir arrangement by Our Stars Choir Director Steve Taylor. This song is performed by Our Stars Choir featuring Liverpool singer Angela Inkson. Little Light was recorded at The Cold Stores Studio in Kent with Ben Thomas, frequent guitarist for Adele, and also Sam Smith, where much of the music video was also filmed by Paul Smith from Standout Films. Also included in the music video is the hugely talented 15-year-old dancer and incredible fundraiser for many charities, Ruth Lamb.

The little light referred to in the title of the song is the little flickering light seen in early pregnancy scans showing a baby’s first signs of life.

This song has been written and performed to raise awareness and understanding of baby loss for all bereaved parents and families.

Little Light is available now for download from Amazon Music and iTunes, and proceeds go to Our Sam to grow our support initiatives and resources for bereaved parent and families following miscarriage, TFMR, stillbirth and neonatal death and the professionals who support them.

Our Stars Choir

We would like to say a huge thank you to the production team and everyone involved in the production of Little Light. Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible. Most of all we want to say thank you to our amazing, inspirational choir, who have pushed their own boundaries further than any of them thought possible, to achieve something really special, together as parents, in memory of all the babies they have lost.
