Our Sam Baby Loss Charity, based in North Wales and Chester (Reg. No. 1191411), is holding a Gala Evening on Saturday 9th October, the first day of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2021.
The evening is being held at Theatr Clwyd in Flintshire, North Wales, where the charity began its journey with the staging of a play called Dancing in the Wings in February 2020. In support of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2021 #BLAW2021, Theatr Clwyd will be turning pink and blue for the week, for the first time, which is really exciting.
Hosted by the lovely ITV Wales, Weather and Coast & Country Presenter, Ruth Dodsworth, the evening will be filled with music from Liverpool based band Arustic Duo, and the first public performances from Our Sam’s new Our Stars Choir, made up of bereaved parents from across the UK, and an exciting launch of a brand new online resource, that is being rolled out over the next 15 months by Our Sam, for bereaved parents and families, as well as healthcare, and welfare guidance and support professionals across all sectors. S.O.S. Baby Loss, designed and developed by bereaved parents, is set to revolutionise signposting to specialist support services, for the estimated 255,000 people in the UK, who go through baby loss, following miscarriage, TFMR (Termination for medical reasons), stillbirth and neonatal death each year, and for those who went through the trauma of baby loss at any stage in their life. As if that wasn’t enough, there will be an auction of experiences, set to create amazing memories for the winning bidders, and our auctioneer for the evening will be the wonderful ITV Antiques Expert, and regular antique dealer on Dickenson’s Real Deal, Tim Hogarth. Then, just when you think we couldn’t add any more, following the recent recording and filming of their music video, Our Stars Choir and beautiful singer, Angela Inkson, will be releasing their first single on that very evening, a special original song for Baby Loss Awareness Week.
We would love you to join us for this incredibly special evening, for fun, many firsts, food, and to show your support for parents and families affected by baby loss this Baby Loss Awareness Week.
All proceeds from the auction will be be going to Our Sam, to help us continue the work we are doing, to raise awareness, understanding and to improve support for bereaved parents and families following baby loss, and those who provide essential, special support, when it is needed.
We look forward to seeing you on the evening, and we hope you enjoy it!
(We just want to add a brief note. With respect, due to the nature of this event, we have put a minimum age restriction for attendees of 15 years of age)
Thank you for your support, and very best wishes from all of the team at Our Sam.
