Our Sam’s ‘Our Stars Choir’ looking for Dad’s voices

We have recently launched the exciting news of our first creative project ‘Our Stars Choir’.

The Our Stars Choir, is a very special choir, for bereaved parents affected by Baby Loss as a result of Miscarriage, TFMR, Stillbirth and Neonatal Death.

The choir will focus on popular music, and also specially written songs, and come together through online rehearsals, with the fantastic,  experienced Musical Director and Choir Leader, Angharad Edwards.

The aim with our choir is to come together to have fun, and maybe even learn a thing or two.

The choir will run for 10 week sessions, with an exciting event at the end of each session. The first session starts rehearsals on Tuesday 3rd November at 7pm and will run through to the end of January.

We are starting with smaller numbers and hope to grow as we develop over time.

During our first session, we will also be collaborating with the wonderful Angela Inkson, professional singer and one half of the talented Liverpool-based Arustic Duo, with a a song specially written for the choir,  with music produced by professional Music Producer Chris Hollis.

Following our announcement and appearance on BBC Wales Today, we have had a fantastic response from across the UK, with starting members from Wales, England and Scotland!

BUT!!! We are missing something! With just a few spaces left, we would love to have some Dads voices too!

If you are a Dad, or you know a Dad, who has had to face baby loss in your life, has a passion for singing, and can hold a note, we would love to hear from you!

We have our final online information session on Monday 26th October at 6pm, before rehearsals start on Tuesday 3rd November at 7pm, but if you can’t make that, then don’t worry, in the first instance, email Philippa@oursam.org.uk If there are still Mums out there who would like to get involved with our first session, then please do contact us too.
